A family-run equestrian business on the Central Coast NSW.
Beyond the Paddock is run by husband-and-wife team Laura and Jimmy from their 11-acre property in Jilliby. Built from a genuine love of horses and country life, today BTP offers practical, quality equestrian services designed to make life with horses that little bit easier.
From our undercover arena and horse float hire to personalised full care agistment, everything we offer is backed by the same hands-on approach and care we'd expect for our own horses.
Long before Beyond the Paddock became a business, horses were already a huge part of our lives. Laura and Jimmy have spent years owning, riding, competing and caring for horses, and our 11-acre family property in Jilliby has been built around the lifestyle that comes with them.
Beyond the Paddock originally grew from that world. Founded by Laura, BTP began as a nature and animal-assisted allied health service, bringing professional therapy out of the traditional clinic environment and onto the property. Over the years, it grew into a thriving service supporting individuals and families across the Central Coast, with our horses, animals and outdoor environment forming an important part of the BTP story.
In 2026, that chapter came to a close as Beyond the Paddock stepped away from allied health and the NDIS space.
Today, BTP has returned its focus to where it all began — horses and the equestrian community.
Run by husband-and-wife team Laura and Jimmy, Beyond the Paddock now offers undercover arena hire, premium horse float dry hire and personalised full care agistment from our property in Jilliby on the Central Coast NSW.
We're hands-on horse owners ourselves, so we've built our services around the things we value — well-maintained facilities, quality equipment, practical convenience, genuine care and a welcoming environment for both horses and their people.
Beyond the Paddock may have evolved over the years, but horses have been part of the story from the very beginning.
Beyond the Paddock isn't just where we run our business — it's our family home.
We live here on our 11-acre property in Jilliby with our three young boys, surrounded by horses, dogs, chickens and plenty of country life (and usually a motorbike or two!).
You'll often see our Australian Stock Horse, Switch, and Welsh Pony, Cosmo, around the property. They're both very friendly and very much part of the BTP family, along with our dogs, chickens and other four-legged and feathered residents.
Because we live here, we're very hands-on with the property and take a lot of pride in keeping it welcoming, well maintained and enjoyable for everyone who visits.
Whether you're here to ride, collect the float, attend a clinic or visit your horse, we want Beyond the Paddock to feel relaxed, friendly and easy — somewhere both you and your horse enjoy coming to.
So don't be surprised if you see Jimmy working around the property, Laura with the horses, or our three boys out and about enjoying the animals and country life alongside you.
Set on over 11 acres of private property in Jilliby on the Central Coast NSW, Beyond the Paddock offers a peaceful and practical equestrian space designed for horses, riders and the wider equestrian community.
Home to our undercover arena hire, horse float dry hire and full care agistment services, the property features quality equestrian facilities, generous parking and turning areas for horse floats, and plenty of space to enjoy.
Conveniently located just off the M1, approximately 7 minutes from Tuggerah Westfield and moments from Wyong Milk Factory.
Whether you're looking for a quality undercover arena to ride in, a premium horse float for your next adventure, or a trusted place for your horse to call home, our aim is to make your experience simple, welcoming and enjoyable.
Laura and her team are lovely and it’s the only activity that we have done that my son hasn’t suffered major anxiety with. It’s such a calming environment and he loves working with the horses. My son won’t participate in traditional therapies anymore, so it’s great that he can go along and participate in a therapy based program, without actually knowing he is doing it.
My son (add/ADHD) loves it and I can see how his behaviour has improved over the last few months working with them. Amazing team ! Thank you!! Highly recommend them
The facilitators are wonderful - so knowledgeable, compassionate and intuitive. The surroundings are beautiful and we couldn't be happier with our experience with Laura and Ellen. Highly recommend!
Our son 7.5 has been going to equine therapy for a few weeks now. He loves it and has taken to caring for his horse ice cream well. He retains all the information laura teaches him and is so excited to share it with us. I recommend this service to anyone who's kids love animals and need help regulating and building confidence.
Very happy with the experience my granddaughter has been having with Ellen at Beyond the Paddock. She is lovely with her ... kindly and gently engaging with her as they interact with ice cream the pony. I highly recommend Laura and Ellen’s services to others.
I contacted Laura to find out about Beyond the Paddock as my daughter has disabilities and was dealing with bullying issues at school, i thought it might help with what was going on at school, she really lost alot of self confidence due to it. Laura's sessions with my daughter really helped build her confidence back up and she is so relaxed and calm when doing them.My daughter has develeped a special bond with the horses, especially ice cream. Its been fantastic for my girl and she looks forward to her sessions and i do as well :)
I had the experience of laura working closely with my two children. Her approach was outstanding. So intune, patient and nurturing to their needs and most importantly building on their confidence in a new setting. Communication, safety, lesson and benefits are outstanding. If we could manage to do it more often we would.
We started with private sessions and have since moved into small group sessions with 3 other children. It works on so many aspects of my sons therapy including now social as well as regulation, negotiation skills, behaviour, anxiety etc. All whilst being outdoors in a calming relaxed setting and working with beautiful horses, he doesn't realise he is learning skills whilst doing an activity he loves. The location is great on a private property and away from distractions and is complimenting all of his other therapies nicely. I even walk away feeling relaxed after just sitting and watching the session.
